  • "About 7% of women and 6% of men across the country are the victims of violence at the hands of a current or former spouse or common-law partner according to results from the 2004 GSS on Victimization" Page 2.
  • "Annual operating costs for shelters totaled approximately $317 millions 2005/2006." Page 1.
  • "Canada's shelters for abused women reported annual revenues of approximately $333 million for the 12 month period ending March 31. Page 8.
  • In 2006 there were 553 shelters providing residential services to women and children..." Page2.
 
Womens groups receive over $500,000,000 in funding,

Status of Women Canada ). Where as, there is NO funding for men and male victims of female perpetrated domestic violence.
